'Captain America: Brave New World' Digital Release Date

Marvel Studios is set to release their superhero epic Captain America: Brave New World on physical media next month, arriving on DVD, Blu-ray, and 4K Ultra HD on May 13th, 2025. The film has been available on digital platforms since April 15th, 2025, where it continues to perform strongly on PVOD services.

Captain America: Brave New World marks Anthony Mackie's first solo outing as the star-spangled Avenger after taking up the shield in the Disney+ series "The Falcon and the Winter Soldier." The film follows Sam Wilson as he navigates his new role as Captain America while dealing with political intrigue at the highest levels of government.

After meeting with newly elected U.S. President Thaddeus Ross (Harrison Ford, replacing the late William Hurt), Sam finds himself in the middle of an international incident. He must discover the motive behind a nefarious global plan while facing threats from multiple fronts, including the mysterious transformation of Ross into the Red Hulk.

Directed by Julius Onah from a screenplay by Rob Edwards, Malcolm Spellman, and Dalan Musson, the film stars Anthony Mackie alongside Harrison Ford, Danny Ramirez as Joaquin Torres/Falcon, Liv Tyler returning as Betty Ross, Tim Blake Nelson as Samuel Sterns/The Leader, Carl Lumbly as Isaiah Bradley, and Shira Haas as Ruth Bat-Seraph/Sabra.

The fourth Captain America film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe received mixed reviews from critics and audiences, with praise for Harrison Ford's performance but criticism for its uneven pacing and storytelling.
